ABOUT

Imagine a little boy for a moment. This boy had not been able to speak, until he was four. This boy had a processing disability when it came to learning new ideas, so it took him a while to capture new concepts & to learn new skills. The boy also felt embarrassed & uncomfortable when he could not speak Spanish with his relatives because his parents had to teach him English first due to his therapy. Every time a festivity would happen, he would run away to his room feeling shy & timid because he did not know how to communicate with others except his siblings & his parents. He was escaping to his own world, creating activities that were fun & joyful to him. To top it off, all decisions were made by his parents. Every decision. Alejandro Fundora was that little boy. This is his story.

Alejandro (Alex) Fundora is an Atlanta native, & is a Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) graduate with his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performing Arts. He is an actor, writer, & producer for stage & screen. When he is not auditioning, Alejandro will either be writing, reading plays/screenplays, watching films/television, supporting local theatre, or he'll be assisting his family by working at they're local restaurant: Casa Nuova Italian Restaurant.

During his college career, Alejandro completed a variety of acting programs: Prague Shakespeare Company’s Summer Shakespeare Company & Completely Ridiculous Productions’s Summer Conservatory Program. Alejandro is an alumni of the National Music Theatre Institute Program at the Tony-Award Winning, Eugene O'Neill Theater Center. Alejandro is also a Miranda Family Fellow hosted under Lin Manuel Miranda’s company, 5000 Broadway Productions. Furthermore, Alejandro is a member of Alpha Psi Omega (National Theatre Honor Society).
